Biography

Leslie is a physician assistant and doctor of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Born and raised in Edwards, Colorado, she pursued her undergraduate studies in molecular biology and classical history at UC Santa Barbara. During that time, her mother’s battle with rectal cancer inspired her to explore integrative approaches to health.

She earned her doctorate in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, California, and completed dual residency programs in Traditional Chinese Medicine through the Zhejiang University School of Medicine in Hangzhou, China and integrative medicine through UCSF in Oakland, California. She is also a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFMCP).

Building on a decade of experience in integrative medicine, Leslie chose to broaden her medical training by becoming a physician assistant. She graduated from Yale School of Medicine and was elected to the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. During her training, she discovered her passion for working with surgical patients including those with traumatic injury and critical illness.

Leslie also has a strong foundation in nutritional biochemistry with postdoctoral training at UC Davis. Her research focuses on the immunobiology of fatty acids in neurodegenerative diseases. She has presented her work at both national and international academic meetings.

Her approach to care is grounded in the values of compassion, integrity, and excellence, and she is honored to serve her hometown community. Outside of medicine, Leslie is an avid outdoorswoman with a love for skiing, hiking, and yoga. She has a passion for cooking nutrient-dense meals and loves sharing both food and outdoor adventures with friends and family.
