With world-class surgeons who specialize in orthopaedics, combined with an inspiring mountain setting, Dillon Surgery Center is a destination for treatment, healing and recovery.

Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques

Minimally invasive surgery techniques help patients at the Dillon Surgery Center achieve beneficial surgical outcomes including:
  • Faster recovery
  • Less time spent in the hospital
  • Quicker return to activities and work
  • Reduced chance of infection
  • Smaller surgical incisions
  • More options for pain management
  • Decreased need for opioid prescriptions

On-Site Physical Therapy

Located within the same facility as Dillon Surgery Center, physical therapists at Howard Head Sports Medicine collaborate closely with surgeons and other health care providers to help patients get back to their activities quickly and safely.

On-site physical therapists who specialize in post-surgical recovery meet with patients as soon as possible following surgery to answer questions, provide rehabilitation services and create a plan for follow-up care. Physical therapists guide patients in taking their first steps or making their first movements following surgery. They also offer valuable guidance for patients about how to use tools such as crutches or other implements that help speed up the recovery process. Finally, the same physical therapists that work with patients following surgery are available to provide follow-up services.

Innovative Pain Management

Dillon Surgery Center is committed to addiction prevention and provides opioid-free pain management options when possible. Managing pain begins immediately after surgery and is a process that continues once you return home. Even after you have left Dillon Surgery Center, our providers continue to support your recovery with options best-suited for your recovery needs including:
  • Access to 24/7 pain management postoperative specialists
  • Nerve block
  • Nonopioid medication options
  • Access to recovery devices for the management of swelling, pain and mobility
Options for post-surgical pain management during recovery depend on the patient’s specific needs and will be discussed among patients and their providers.
